What does trample mean????????

I will give you an example, defining the actual ability is quite hard.

Lets say I attack with the Negator, and you block with a Birds of Paradise (0/1 flyer). The negator would deal 4 damage to you, since trample allows him to deal the difference, if any, of power/toughness of blockers and the attacking creatures power, to you.

So, if I swing with a 6/6 trampler, and you block iwth a 4/4, you will take 2 damge. Make sense?
